# About Billiard News

*An independent publication covering pool, billiards and cue sports.*

## What we are

Billiard News is an independent online publication covering pool, billiards and cue sports for an international readership, with a primary focus on the United States.

We report on professional tournaments, the World Nineball Tour, league play, players, equipment and the craft of the game — from the break shot to the business of the table.

## What we cover

- **News** — verified developments in professional and amateur cue sports.
- **Tournaments** — schedules, previews, results and context for major events.
- **Players** — profiles and stories about the people who shape the game.
- **Gear** — cues, cases, tables, accessories and honest evaluations.
- **Learn** — rules, technique, strategy and cue care, explained in plain English.
- **Features** — longer reporting and essays about pool culture.

## How we work

Facts are verified against primary or authoritative sources — governing bodies, tournament organizers and official broadcasts — before publication. Sources are credited on the page. When we get something wrong, we correct it; see our Editorial Policy for details.

Billiard News is operated by a small editorial team. Articles are signed by their author.
