Armstrong All-Stars Win 10-Ball Teams Title at Grand Finals

Armstrong All-Stars beat In The Stroke Of Time 23-7 in a final that ran past midnight at Harrah's Cherokee — completing a comeback week that began with a 9-3 semifinal hole.

Armstrong All-Stars are the 10-Ball Teams champions at the Ultimate Pool USA Grand Finals, beating In The Stroke Of Time 23-7 in a final that ran past midnight Friday at Harrah's Cherokee, per the official DigitalPool bracket.

The title match began late Friday evening and was settled around 12:30 a.m. ET on Saturday — Armstrong in control throughout after the comeback of the week had put them there.

The comeback that made the final

Armstrong All-Stars reached the title match the hard way, trailing Syndicate 9-3 in Friday's semifinal before storming back to win 16-15 — the closest finish of the league programme. In The Stroke Of Time had the smoother path, beating Marcia's Misfits 24-9 in the other semi, but managed only seven points in the final.

The 10-Ball Teams championship pays $35,000 to the winner from a $90,000 purse, making it the second-richest league event of the week behind Saturday's $112,000 8-Ball Teams final.

What's left at Cherokee

The teams title is the second league trophy decided in Cherokee, after Tyler Styer and Margaret Fefilova-Styer won the National Pairs earlier Friday night. The Mixed Pairs final — Ashley Benoit and Chris Melling against Avah Weems and Oscar Dominguez — carries over to Saturday, when the 8-Ball Teams semifinals (10 a.m. and 2 p.m. ET) and final (8 p.m. ET) close the league programme.

Scores are per the official DigitalPool bracket.
